TEKOV SALAMI CHEESE
TEKOV SALAMI CHEESE is a natural ripening cheese produced exclusively from slovak cow's milk, carefully producing by farmers, mainly from Tekov. It is produced by the classical method of production, while maintaining a high proportion of precise handwork throughout the entire production process - from spreading the raw grain in the tubs to removing the already pressed cheeses from the tubs and their manual processing to the final form. Subsequently, the cheeses are stored for several weeks for ripening, during which the cheeses acquire their typical delicious cheese taste. Thanks to this unique production process, Tekov's salami cheese has become a bearer of the rich cheese-making tradition in the Tekov region, in the heart of which it is also produced. It is also the only slovak natural cheese that holds the European prestigious "Protected Geographical Indication" certificate. It is produced in two variants, unsmoked and smoked, which is smoked in the classic way of smoking on beech wood. It contains no vegetable fats, preservatives or coloring agents.
